Emily Montague
From an early age, every blank space I encountered - whether for school, work, grocery lists - have always been filled with sketches, happy pictures & doodles.
This love of drawing grew into a passion for abstract art.
Painting became my sanctuary, a way to process emotions that felt overwhelming.
Each stroke and color in my work reflects life’s complexities, with hidden figures symbolizing the unseen layers of experience. The vibrant colors are more than just an aesthetic choice - they represent freedom from judgment - where mistakes are, impermanent and transformation is always possible.
Beneath the surface, you’ll find small forms - quiet echoes of life’s shaping moments. My art, like life, is full of layers, inviting viewers to pause and explore, offering a momentary escape from life’s challenges. Each brushstroke helps me navigate the world, express what words cannot and discover peace.
Through my work, I aim to inspire happiness and light in others. Thank you for taking time to experience my art.
